Pastor Scott graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a BA in History. He did his seminary education at Drew Theological Seminary in New Jersey. As a minister, Pastor Scott has served rural, urban, small town, and suburban congregations. He "finds strength in the powerful images of Jesus’ preaching and finds God at work in all of life—the high moments—such as birth and marriage—as well as in loss and transition—where God often blesses us the most." Pastor Scott has been married to his wife Karla for 31 years. They have three children—Claire, Marissa, and Colin. The girls live and work in Chicago and Colin is a history teacher in Virginia. Pastor Scott says that his life is richly blessed and he strives to be a blessing to others.
