You are invited to our "Traditional" Service
Come and join us for a truly inspiring morning worship service where you will hear scripture based sermons made relevant to today's world and current issues. The service is filled with robust singing of traditional and contemporary hymns accompanied by our grand organ. Other music is provided by the chancel choir and our newly formed bell choir. We love music and so you never know when you might enjoy a special guest musician. We frequently have guests from the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University. If you desire child care simply, speak to a greeter or usher, but children are always welcome.
Sanctuary, hmmmm, that brings up a point. I have been asked, "Why is it called a "sanctuary?" Well, sanctuary means a safe and peaceful place set apart, a place of protection. Can you think of a better place to experience Jesus?
There is nothing like experiencing the Holy Spirit in a Christmas season service at NBUMC. The story is told, the carols are sung, and families experience Christ's birth over and over again during joy filled services all through the Advent season culminating in a truly touching Christmas Eve service.
